The documentary One Direction: This is Us is out in theaters today.
A captivating and intimate all-access look at life on the road for the global music phenomenon. Weaved with stunning live concert footage, this inspiring feature film tells the remarkable story of Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis’ meteoric rise to fame, from their humble hometown beginnings and competing on the X-Factor, to conquering the world and performing at London’s famed O2 Arena. Hear it from the boys themselves and see through their own eyes what it’s really like to be One Direction.
Caught a sneak peek of this film with my daughter recently. We loved it and I wasn’t a fan beforehand. Be prepared for lots of screaming in a theater full of girls! The movie does a good job at providing the back story on these boys and how they came to success so quickly. Infused with lots of concert footage and backstage antics it is very entertaining and full of music. For parents who are watching, there are some tear jerking moments during the scenes where the boys’ parents are interviewed. You really get a sense of the phenomenal success this band has had in such a short period of time. If you are a fan or have a child who is a fan I would recommend seeing this movie.
