In existence for over three years now, this playgroup started as a 35+ moms group. It opened to all ages and has narrowed location to mostly East County over the years.
In just three years, the group has had more than 1,200 events! Four co-captains schedule over 30 events every month. They meet at all different times on both weekdays and weekends. They meet at people’s homes, parks, beaches or any other kid-friendly location. They also have holiday parties and craft days.
Most of the kids are now in preschool or kindergarten. School schedules are starting to limit meeting times, but the playgroup is committed to making sure they stay together so the kids have the consistency of the same friends over the years. The best thing about this playgroup is the people — all 78 of them! They have both working moms and stay-at-home moms, but the members have a lot in common, and lifelong friendships have developed because of the group!
