FINDING DORY
In this sequel to Finding Nemo, it is Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres) who is looking for her family. So her friends Nemo and Merlin (voices of Hayden Rolence and Albert Brooks) agree to help the memory-challenged tang fish find her way home.

June 24, 2016:

INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE
Twenty years after Independence Day appeared in theaters, the sequel arrives. the plot also picks up two decades later with a second alien attack. Despite their best efforts to prepare for another invasion, mankind still finds themselves vulnerable when the inevitable strike happens. Now it is up to just a few (Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Jessie Usher) to try to save the many.

THE BFG
The classic Roald Dahl story is adapted into a live-action film. Here the enormous and scary looking BFG –Big Friendly Giant (Mark Rylance) shows his gentler side when he befriends a young girl named Sophie (Ruby Barnhill).

THE LEGEND OF TARZAN
Produced by Warner Brothers Studios, this is not like the Disney version of Tarzan. Instead this grown-up portrayal of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ character takes place after the ape man (Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd) has left the tropics for the urban jungle of London, but is soon called back to save his homeland.

July 8, 2016:

THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS
This animation asks the question: “Do you know what your pet does while you’re away?” The answer involves some mysterious and surprising goings-on – including gang warfare.

July 15, 2016:

GHOSTBUSTERS (2016)
Columbia Pictures is calling on the Ghostbusters again, in this remake of the 1984 movie. Although cameos are expected from the original cast (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson), this version of the film will feature female characters (Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones) as the paranormal swat team.

July 22, 2016:

STAR TREK BEYOND
Preceded by Star Trek and Star Trek Into Darkness, this third installment of the rebooted series follows the starship Enterprise into an uncharted part of the universe where Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the crew find themselves stranded in the great beyond.

ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE
Speaking of galactic travel, this franchise boldly goes where it never has before – outer space. Here Scrat (voice of Chris Wedge) accidentally sets Earth on a cosmic collision course, and that puts the herd (voices of Ray Romano, Denis Leary and John Leguizamo) and the rest of the planet’s inhabitants scrambling to save themselves from utter destruction. This movie is also part of a franchise that includes Ice Age, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, Ice Age: The Dawn of the Dinosaur and Ice Age: Continental Drift.

Aug 5, 2016:

NINE LIVES
In contrast to The Secret Life of Pets, this movie portrays a human with a secret life as a pet. Workaholic businessman Tom Brand (Kevin Spacey) inexplicably finds himself trapped inside the body of his daughter’s cat, where he learns a thing or two about the importance of family. This movie is reminiscent of the Disney classics The Shaggy Dog (1959) and The Shaggy D.A. (1976).

PETE’S DRAGON (2016)
This is a live-action remake of the 1977 Disney animation. Here Oakes Fegley plays the orphan Pete, who has a not-so-imaginary dragon for a friend.

BEN-HUR 2016
The 1959 Bible epic gets a redo too. Now Jack Huston stars in the title role of Ben-Hur, a falsely accused Jewish nobleman (Huston) whose soul will not rest until he gets vengeance. Then he meets a quiet preacher named Jesus (Rodrigo Santoro) who suggests a different path to finding peace.

THE SPACE BETWEEN US
This out-of-this-world teen romance/sci-fi depicts the relationship between a young man (Asa Butterfield) raised on Mars and a pretty girl (Britt Robertson) on Earth. The two finally meet when the boy returns to his home planet determined to find his missing father.

KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS
This amazing-looking animation depicts Kubo (voice of Art Parkinson) a young boy who has to run for his life when an ancient spirit seeking revenge is awakened. The only help he has against the unleashed force is a Monkey (voice of Charlize Theron), a Beetle (voice of Matthew McConaughey), and a magical musical instrument.
