Senior Share and Care is a heartwarming program in which Parent Connection members, along with their babies and toddlers, visit retirement homes.  The seniors love watching children grow, and the children learn to appreciate the elderly.
Common activities include story time, arts and crafts, playing with toys and show and tell. There are also seasonal activities held at the Share and Care locations for holidays such as Valentine’s parties, Easter Egg Hunting, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving celebrations and holiday caroling. Â Â It’s great to see the interaction between the seniors and the children and to watch the joy on all of their faces!

We are in the process of revamping our Share and Care program! This is an outreach program where our playgroups visit local assisted living facilities! It’s a wonderful opportunity to teach the concept of giving back to our children.
We are currently looking for an Outreach Coordinator. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of our Share and Care program and be a part of the revamping process! It’s easy and fun to be a coordinator. The coordinator is the contact person for Parent Connection members who meet at a facility. Meetings are usually once a month for as little as 30 minutes to one hour.
Please contact us by email at info@sandiegoparent.com if you are interested in learning more about this position. We are flexible as to when this position can begin….so you can set your own timeframe!
